Located in the rural side of Denmark, where urban youths can travel to or pass through via foot traffic, the APRN guesthouse is a hypothetical, one-of-a-kind hotel that runs on a closed loop cycle. By using recycled rain water, solar power within individual unit, linens sourced from local manufacturers, and food produced from the community homestead, the guesthouse seeks to help its guests experience and practice environmental conscious living through repurposing and recontextualizing everyday objects.
The word APRN references to apron, specifically the apron of airports–the field where airplanes land, dock, and recharge. Whether it be those that seek a stop during their travel, or those that need an escape from the city, the guesthouse welcomes all travelers to rest and gather thoughts before they continue on the rest of their journey.
